WHAT YOU WILL LEARN AND
WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND
The State and Local Government Law Institute has become an established
educational and networking event for those involved in government law — on the
municipal, county, state or federal level. Once again, a stellar faculty will
provide an overview of the most significant developments in several important
areas of interest. The 2008 Institute menu includes plenary sessions on
Electronic Records Retention in Connection With Litigation; Municipal Finance;
Record Retention Policies and panel discussions highlighting
legislative and case law developments. Afternoon concurrent breakout sessions
will allow the attendee to choose from such topics as Decaying Infrastructure;
the Role of State and Local Government in Immigration Matters; Cooperative
Planning; and Rule 1.13—Organization as Client.
