WHAT YOU WILL LEARN AND WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND

In Maryland, international business is big business. Maryland companies exported in excess of $7 billion in goods and services and imported $30 billion in 2007, more than 500 foreign companies have branch offices in Maryland.

MICPEL’s International Commercial Transaction program will review the basic aspects of and legal issues involved in international commercial transactions. Incorporating the latest legal developments both in the United States and foreign law, this program covers the topic, from specialized aspects of drafting international sales contracts to resolving disputes arising under them, and from compliance with the regulatory requirements governing international transactions to protecting participating companies’ intellectual property.
