This seminar meet the provision of Rule 17-104 (a)(3) requiring court designated mediators to complete eight (8) hours of continuing mediation-related education every two (2) years to keep current with developments in the field.

 

This advanced seminar is designed for mediators who engage in domestic mediation. Through lectures, demonstrations and simulation exercises, participants will gain valuable insight into the mediation practices, techniques and special considerations that are most effective in resolving custody and property disputes in seemingly impossible situations. Areas covered will be identification of issues in complicated custody and property distribution matters, as well as the role of mediation in post-divorce proceedings. The seminar will be led by Harry Fox, Esquire, and Cecilia Paizs, Esquire, experienced domestic law mediators, who will provide insight into the more complicated domestic mediations.  Prerequisite: 40-Hour Civil Mediation Seminar.

Much of the skills training involves group simulations and role plays.  Registrants must attend every scheduled session daily.
