The Business Law Institute is designed to provide both experienced and novice business advisors with updates on the latest developments in the hottest areas of practice. With the guidance of an outstanding, experienced faculty, the Business Law Institute will provide you with practical answers to your business clients’ most frequently asked questions.
For this first time this year the Business Law Institute offers a half-day program of four sessions with two seminar options in each session to choose from, followed by a cocktail reception and a speaker providing updates on the Maryland legislative session. You may choose to attend either the seminars or the cocktail reception, or if you choose to attend both, you will receive a registration discount.
The Institute provides the business law attorney with a highlighted road map to the Dos and Don’ts of practicing in this complex area of the law. Our experienced faculty, through lecture and example, will educate you on the recent developments in the law as well as point out the common and not so common mistakes made by the business law practitioner in the areas of software licensing, privacy and data protection, covenants not to compete, transactions in a troubled economy, LLC member and manager liability, employment severance matters, and conflicts. Each participant will receive a bound volume containing the course materials from each of the eight seminars.
Real questions, practical solutions offered by experienced faculty. Attend the Fifth Business Law Institute and keep up-to-date in your business practice while networking with colleagues.
