The Advanced Bankruptcy Institute is an advanced course addressing business bankruptcy issues.  Join our outstanding faculty as they review developments in case law and bankruptcy rules in Maryland and on a national level, as well as several cutting edge issues affecting the business bankruptcy practitioner.  A hypothetical fact pattern will be used to address a variety of issues that arise in a Chapter 11 filing by a retail sales business including first day motions, cash collateral/DIP financing, section 363 store closing sales, reclamation and sec. 503(b)(9) claims, consignment inventory issues, assumption and rejection of leases, motions to lift stay or dismiss, Chapter 11 plan and confirmation issues, preference claims, and equitable subordination/recharacterization issues.
