Parking

Ample parking is available in the two parking lots adjacent to USG's two buildings. Parking is restricted to these designated sites, but permits are not required. Please do not park along the street.

Public Transportation

Montgomery County's Ride-on Bus System
This system is tightly integrated with the Metrorail, Metrobus and MARC commuter rail systems. For Ride-on maps, routes and timetables please see the following www.dpwt.com. Ride-on bus 43 will extend service to the USG from the Shady Grove Metro Station. Service will be provided Monday-Saturday beginning at 6:45 a.m.-9:45 p.m. Bus stops will be in front of SG Building II and CARB. Campus Connector
Through a unique collaboration with Montgomery College and Montgomery County Transit Services, USG is serviced by a new shuttle known as the "Campus Connector."

The Campus Connector provides FREE shuttle bus service for all USG and Montgomery College students traveling among our area campuses. Shuttles provide hourly service weekdays, with stops at the following locations:

• Montgomery College, Takoma Park Campus
• Silver Spring Metro Station
• Montgomery College, Rockville Campus
• Universities at Shady Grove

All students are encouraged to take advantage of this easy and convenient new service. Students need only present their Student I.D. card upon boarding.

MetroRail and MetroBus Systems

Metro Directions from College Park, Md. to USG:

• Depart from the College Park/University of Maryland Metro Station (Green Line).
   
• Transfer at the Fort Totten Metro Station and follow the Red Line to the Shady Grove Metro Station.
   
• Transfer to the RO43 Ride-on Bus, which goes directly to (USG).

MARC
Students and visitors may also use the MARC Commuter Rail coming from Baltimore and points west (West Virginia and Frederick, MD area). Please see the following for specific schedules and maps. MTA--MARC information

Three major airports service the Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Metrorail, bus and MARC Train services are available from each of the major airports.
